Chemistry is the study of all chemical substances and how they can change. During the A-level Chemistry course you'll learn to understand these and see in new ways the things that make up the world; your food, fuels and fabrics, building materials and manufactured goods, the air you breathe, the tools you use. You'll study atoms and reactions, bonding and structure, hydrocarbons, polymers and alcohols, energetics and transition elements.
The A-level in Chemistry will also enable you to use your knowledge of Mathematics to describe and understand chemical ideas. You'll learn to devise and carry out practical laboratory experiments to test the principles you are learning.
